I’m a ui/ux designer based in Massachusetts, USA, working remote for clients across the USA and Europe. In my spare time I cook, bake, read, and restore old cameras for my own use (and sale). To that end, my largest bathroom has been converted entirely into a large format darkroom. Bring this up if you'd like to hear me talk excitedly about it for 10 minutes to an hour.
I studied Industrial Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. Graduating into a strange new world of covid-19 and remote work, I sought out work that was rewarding and doable from my newly created home office. One thing lead to another, and I was working for RIT's open source programs office, one of the very first academic OSPOs in the country. That introduced me to open source, which introduced me to a community of remarkable individuals devoted to creating their own experience in tech, not simply consuming it. The next thing I knew I was contributing to the Sustain Open Source Design podcast, working for a few different projects, and finally landing at Sauce Labs as one of their first cohort of fellows.
